This is less of a “preachy” post, but more of an appreciation post.
At the beginning of the year I wasn’t really involved in our church. I was attending small group, and I knew who people were, but chances are over half of the church didn’t know me and I wasn’t involved in any ministries.
Now, its almost April and in the past month I have started: greeting, helping with coffee in the courtyard, taking directory photos, meeting with people about possible youth ministry opportunities, and become a part of the website committee. From zero to 60 in no time flat.
I grew up being super involved in church, and when I came to college I found myself at a different church in highly involved there. Then, when I studied abroad and came back to an entirely different dynamic, I stopped being involved. Now, after having been at FCC for two years, I am finally getting back into the swing of things. It is nice to finally feel like I am connected to the church and doing things!
I love when things are busy and crazy. I love feeling like there is a little bit of pressure but not enough to kill you. I love when there is a lot going on and it just feels like everything is flowing!
I am so excited about the opportunities that are coming with being involved.
And, to top it all off, work is also starting to involve a lot of things that energize me.
Here’s to a great next few months!
